[GB] e-mails and msn address list

actually this is not too bad an idea. but i say, only those people who added their details to the list get it. otherwise it's not fair. and you may have noticed (or not) that some people (like me) already have their address in their profile...

that didnt make much sence to me, do you mean you would PM a druid your email address and they would send it to other people that want it and you trust? sorry im a lil bit slow today, if it was that wouldnt it just be easier to put it in your profile thingy so only logged in people could see it? or am i just totaly on the wrong track?

bnecause there are automated programs that search sites for e-mails etc. I don't know if they can get to our profiles (if not then it would be easier to just go with that) but otherwise PMing is the safest way

well first you need an email address,maybe like hotmail would be best for msn,then you just download messenger,then you log in,then you chat

it's an instant messenger and it's an application on your computer. you can also register your already existing email address, that's what i did.

me to, even though i can't really remember my email address because my computer just saves it so i never really have to write it out ah well.

In KDE you want to run "kopete"; in Gnome you can use "Gaim" - both are cross network apps like Trillian (you can login to AIM, MSN. Jabber, IRC, etc....).

However the daddy of all chat apps is Skype. You can chat, you can video, you can talk, you can whiteboard, you can tunecast... and there's a native linux version. MSN is sooooooo 2005!
